This series includes a variety of wooden cover books which have each been uniquely treated and sewn with a bone enclosure and silk pages. The edges of all the pages has been hand frayed, and the raw silk has both an iridescent two tone look and natural nubs for a very visceral quality when experiencing the book. The bone used as a closure is a rib bone collected as part of my thesis work, and has special meaning.
