Learn the basics of creating paper sculptures with handmade paper. The first of this two day workshop will be building armatures using reed, rattan, wire and found materials in creating unique structures. The second day will be concentrating on covering armatures with handmade paper, and several approaches to do so. This class will cover resources for buying handmade paper for use with armatures and techniques for making paper specifically for paper sculptures. Students will be given extra materials to take home for future sculptures.
