Building on the skills acquired in Bookbinding I, go into greater depth and detail as you further examine the anatomy of a book. This course will teach you more about the fundamental tools of the craft, how to use bindery equipment (such as the guillotine paper cutter and board shear), more challenging materials (paper, cloth, board, and adhesives), as well as more advanced techniques for folding, sewing, gluing. You will construct two hard cover, round-back, case bound multi-section books; you will learn new methods and details such as modified Bradel binding, how to make cloth corners as well as your own endbands.
