Workshop Description:
Learn the basics of creating your own handmade paper in this fun introductory workshop. Students will use colored and recycled pulp in the processes of sheet forming, pressing, and drying to create paper for all types of uses and mediums. Students will leave with a basic knowledge of papermaking, a variety of papers (mailed to each student after the course), handouts about the process with resource lists, and resources on making paper at home. A materials fee covers pre-beaten cotton/abaca pulp, as well as the use of moulds, deckles, felts, drying system, handouts, and postage for sheets to be mailed to them.
