Workshop Description:

Boxes come in endless shapes and sizes—circular, with drawers, lids, compartments, and more. Artist books, art objects, and other bound treasures often call for unique and thoughtful enclosures, and this introductory evening workshop offers a hands-on approach to learning how to make them.
We’ll work with premade paper and cardstock templates to explore the foundations of three distinct box styles: a circular box, a drawer box, and a lidded container. Along the way, you’ll learn about materials, basic structural considerations, and clever tricks for strong, functional, and beautiful constructions. We'll also experiment with dividers and simple modifications, so you can begin to customize and expand from these core forms.
