Recommended Materials/Equipment to be Provided by Students

• Dividers 
  • 4 Inch Professional Precision Spring Wing Divider
  • 6 inch spring prescision divider
  • Talas online divider selection (several sizes)
  • (please email me to reserve a pair if you don't want to buy one)
• Cutting mat (12″ x 18″ or larger)
• Apron and terrycloth washcloth for cleaning hands
• Ruler 6″ or longer (some examples)
  • Westcott® 8ths Clear Beveled Ruler - 6 inch and 12inch
  • Omnigrid Clear Plastic Ruler - 6inch and 12 inch
  • Metal, no-cork, no bevel, metric/standard  - 0 at edge
• X-Acto, snap blade, or scalpel knife
• Extra blades
• Bone or teflon folder
• Awl - Ceramic detail/needle tool can work (I have several to share)
  
• Small scissors (some examples...mustache or haircutting scissors are sometimes sharper than embroidery)
